Monday morning's be like... A close up of 'Fields of the Dammed' which is probably one of my darkest paintings in terms of themes. Really though Mondays aren't too bad for me, I have most of my free periods on a Monday so I am only teaching for half the day which is nice. The painting is acrylic on canvas and an example of turning something going wrong, really really red background, into something that works. There is sgraffito for the sky which adds a nice depth, a smooth foreground and the marching crow people. These were painted with a hacked up half destroyed paintbrush and I really like the scratchy effect it gives. Figure drawing isn't really my think but stick figure drawing is I think?
