Often I sit down with no fixed idea what to paint, just a feeling. Doesn't sound great but in these times I'm often just painting to relax. Which is why you end up with a random giant wheel/peace symbol, the Dali Llama, someone scrambling up a hill followed by a friend (everyone needs a friend) and a friendly little tree.
