Another low maintenance variety, and ones that are very popular, are air plants - genus Tillandsia. . . . These need a bit of a mist every few weeks and as long as they are not in direct burning sun seem to be fairly happy wherever. They can produce flowers and will propagate readily when established. . . . I would always try to go for more colourful varieties like this red one! Also they don't need soil so can often be seen in glass jars or sand however like all plants they do deserve a funky pot! . . . #airplant #plant #growing #ceramics #pottery #clay

Like a turning tanker I am finally getting to the point where I know what I make (for now) and what I grow (for now). . . . However that does lead me to have a fair few extra old pots and plants. I guess the best thing to do is to combine them and sell them at the Christmas fayres, right? . . . If anyone cares I am going to concentrate on the aloes and smaller pots for the time being, some terracotta as it's the best and some highly glazed as people seem to like that. . . . #plants #growing #pottery #ceramics

Aloe variegata in almost a standard looking terracotta pot! . . . All aloes are pretty tough houseplants and will self propagate if left alone. This one has already produced several offshoots though they seem to be very slow to grow. I may be being impatient though. . . . That said the more I learn about different aloes the more I grow to love these little succulents. . . . #aloes #aloe #pottery #ceramics #terracotta #plants #growing #succulents
